Kundalini is a psycho-spiritual energy, the energy of the consciousness, life energy, which is thought to reside within the nervous system at the base of the spine and can be aroused either through spiritual discipline or spontaneously to bring to a new states of consciousness- super consciousness.
The energy centers are embedded in the autonomic nervous system-Sympathetic and parasympathetic systems with integrated plexus on either side of spinal cord. There is lack of proper understanding of this potential life energy and need of more research into the Tantric (both Hindu and Buddhist) Yoga –Kundalini Yoga.
