Removing the entire disease from the antrum may be difficult thru FESS approach; hence a Caldwell luc procedure is also done.The antero inferior and anterolateral areas of the antrum is difficult to get good access.Hence Caldwel Luc approach can be helpful to eradicate the entire disease.
