Chest Infection and Chronic Sinusitis:Treatment of Sinusitis

The sinus disease resulting in lower airway symptoms such as asthma and bronchitis  is  due to a constant post nasal drip of inflammatory and infective secretions from the back of the nose to the back of the throat. It can cause infections and irritation of the lower respiratory passage. In spite of treating the chest condition with antibiotics, steroid and antihistamines, the patient will not get better unless the primary sinusitis condition is dealt with.

Sinobronchial syndrome is a combination of sinusitis and the resulting lower respiratory tract symptoms such as bronchitis or asthma.
