A young lad aged nineteen came to my Laser clinic with name of a girl tattooed on his chest in front of his heart. He did this when he was fourteen years old, now that the girl, left him and she is getting married to someone, he is heartbroken and feeling cheated.. So in desperado and in tears he begged me to remove it from his body for ever and from his mind too.
In an attempt to remove it by applying Nitric acid he has already caused some fibrosis and keloid like reaction in the first two letters of the name.
After seeing his misery I did remove it by a CO2 laser. I asked him to apply Contratubex cream to prevent any excess fibroblastic activity and formation of keloid. Laser has some advantages like this, otherwise removal of these type of Tattoo need total excision and partial thickness skin grafting.
I saw a very happy and relived young man after the surgery.
