The shape of each person’s nose is unique, to get a comely nose which fits perfect on the face need some techniques to refine what the mother nature have provided for one.
One such procedure, to increase the size of the nose, began to be referred to as Augmentation Rhinoplasty.
Augmentation Rhinoplasty is typically performed under general anaesthesia. Depending on the complexity of the procedure, a trained ENT surgeon can often take between two to three hours to perform the nose surgery. During the procedure, an incision is made inside the nose, or between the nostrils, so that the bone and cartilage can be lifted up and reshaped. To build up the nose, bone and cartilage is grafted and transplanted. While cartilage grafts are generally taken from the ears, bone grafts are taken from the elbow, ribs, skull or hip bone. In some cases, the ENT surgeon may use artificial implants.
