Procedures
• Otoplasty Surgery: Also known as Bat ear Surgery. In this procedure the size of the large ears is reduced or the protruding pin back ears (which appears far from the head) is corrected. The cartilage of the ear is reshaped and any excess skin removed. Cosmetic ear surgery can correct a variety of ear- related problems such as cupped, folded or protruding ears.
There are different types of surgery for ear correction and depending upon which one is being performed, otoplasty typically takes about one to two hours to complete. The patient is placed under general anesthesia for major cases and local anesthesia with sedation for minor cases.
• Repair Split ear lobe. Common problems in ladies who wear ear rings. The repair of split ear lobe is done under local anesthesia and in the minor theatre.The sutures are removed 5th day and instructed not to wear another ear ring for a month till wound heals well. Ear piercing done at a later date.
• Reconstructive Ear Surgery : Ears affected by a birth deformity or a traumatic injury can be corrected with reconstructive ear surgery such as Microtia and ear injuries can be treated with a variety of ear reconstruction process.
