Star of David and Indian Tantric Science

The Star of David is the symbol of Judaism. The interpretations as to the Star of David, such as two pyramids or triangles to symbolize the Trinity of God or the trinity of man -body, soul and spirit.

As per the Jewish Kabbalah, the two triangles represent the dichotomies inherent in humans: good versus evil, spiritual versus physical, etc. The two triangles may also represent the reciprocal relationship between people and God. The triangle pointing up symbolizes our good deeds, which go up to the cosmos and activate a flow of goodness back down to the world, symbolized by the triangle pointing down.

When two Tetrahedrons are merged together, they form a Star Tetrahedron – the Star of David. It is interesting to note that, when drawn overtop of one another, each of the 24 letters in the ancient language of Hebrew together form the Star Tetrahedron.

Sri Yantra-Sri Chakra

Yantra are geometrical designs used by Hindu tantrics. Tantra aims to use the human body to achieve spiritual enlightenment through understanding of active, female (Shakti) and passive, male (Shiva) energy. That energy is symbolically represented in the Sri Yantra.

At the very centre of the Sri Yantra is a dot (bindu), which is the unmanifest source of creation, and the apex of the holistic pyramid.

The dot.com revolution started in Vedic times in ancient India.The optical focus of a yantra is the bindu.The bindu symbolizes the source of all creation and the point to which everything returns.

There is a striking similarity between the Star of David and the Yantras of Tantric science of India.

The hexagonal star (shatkona or Star of David) represents the union of Shiva-Shakti, male-female energy. Through that energy the unmanifest potential of creation contained in the bindu or apex of the pyramid powerfully manifests outwards.

The Sri Yantra encourages the viewer to see the manifestation of energy through evolution but also encourages the involution of energies to the focal point in the centre, the bindu, the apex of the holistic pyramid.

The triangles pointing up represent the male principle and the triangles pointing down represents the female energy. The union of male-female energies is something also explored in some Kabalistic writings. All yantras are considered to be contained in the Sri Yantra. So it is considered as the mother of all Yantras like OM is considered as the seed mantra.

Sri Yantra and the Star of David explore similar themes of creation and connection or union of heaven and earth, or male and female. What is implicit in the Seal of Solomon- Star of David-is made explicit in the Sri Yantra.

Modern Science

In geometry, the Yantra is referred to as a hexagram – a figure formed by two intersecting equilateral triangles. Its meaning goes far beyond that of a geometrical sign. In nature, its design can be found even in such basic elements as hydrogen and in water in its crystallized form.

The most common arrangement of the Water molecule is in the geometric shape of the Tetrahedron. The molecule of Silicon is also in this geometric shape. And, although it is currently Water that gives us life, Silicon can also support life.

But what is most interesting is that the Star Tetrahedron is the geometric shape of a Silicon micro-¬computer chip.

The Star Tetrahedron is the electric balance to magnetism. This is how data is stored so efficiently within a computer. It is this geometric shape that provides for memory.

The word memory takes its origins from the ancient Hebrew words mem, which means Water and ohr, which means Spirit.

In the periodic table of elements in Chemistry, atomic number of Carbon is 6, Carbon is needed to form DNA and RNA in human body, both contains the chemical code of life.

Carbon atom has 6 electrons, 6 neutrons and 6 protons. =666

Silicon also has the same structure as Carbon and it can support life and the microcomputer chip is made of silicon which can store lot of data in its memory.

There comes the secret of computer chip, Star of David and Yantra.

Tantric Art is a form of spiritual art-art created by spiritual power of mind.

This Art forms a considerable portion of all traditional art in India. Tantra is both an experience of life and a scientific method by which man can bring out his inherent spiritual power; it is not centered on any eroticism as the some western eyes see it.

Geometric patterns and symbolic forms with conventional lines, shapes and colors are among representational elements of all the elements of universe.

There are three basic scripts: Tantra, Mantra, and Yantra.

Tantra: Hindu and Buddhist scriptures providing detailed instruction on all aspects of religion, mystic knowledge and science. The Hindu tantras are also associated with the Saiva and shakthi traditions.

Tantric perspective is that the inner self is most important, and outer life is secondary. Tantra causes the life force to flow up through the sushumna. (Read about Kundalini Yoga- www.drpaulose.com)

Yantra: A mystic diagram composed of geometric and alphabetic figures-usually etched on small plates of gold, silver, copper or panchaloha-5 metals. Sometimes rendered in three dimensions in stone or metal. The purpose of a yantra is

to focus spiritual and mental energies according to computer-like yantric pattern. It is usually installed near or under the temple Deity.

Psychically seen, the temple yantra is a magnificent three-dimensional edifice of light and sound in which the cosmic energy work. On the astral plane, it is much larger than the temple itself.

Bindu. (Dot) Bindu is the centre of the Yantra. I wonder the .com revolution originated thousands of years ago from India only.

Mantra: A sound, syllable, word or phrase endowed with special power, usually drawn from scripture. Mantras are chanted loudly during puja (worship, adoration) to invoke the cosmic energy and establish a force field. Certain Mantras are repeated softly or mentally for japa (Recitation), the subtle tones quieting the mind, harmonizing the inner bodies and stimulating latent spiritual qualities.

Hinduism’s universal Mantra is Aum-Seed Mantra (The mystic syllable of tantrism).To be truly effective, such Mantras must be given by the preceptor through initiation.

Theyyam or Theyyattam or Kaliyattam, is a popular Hindu ritual of worship in North Kerala state, predominant in the Kolathunadu area (consisting of present-day Kannur and Kasargod districts).

Theyyam incorporates dance, mime and music and enshrines the rudiments of ancient tribal cultures which attached great importance to the worship of heroes and the spirits of ancestors.

Of the over 400 Theyyams performed, the most spectacular ones are those of Raktha Chamundi, Kari Chamundi, Muchilottu Bhagavathi, Wayanadu Kulaveni, Gulikan and Pottan.

The headgear and other ornamental decorations are spectacular in sheer size and appearance.

Theyyams are performed annually from December to April in Malabar and north Kerala.

Homage To Kottarakkara Thampuran-Kathakali-Soul of Kerala

Kathakali traced its origin to the ritualistic (tantric) period of the Vedic Age and connected its growth from the popular, folk dance dramas.

It was believed that Kathakali was conceived from Krishnanaattam, the dance drama on the life and activities of Lord Krishna created by the Samoothirippadu ( Samoothiri or Swamy Thirumulpad), of Calicut.

The reason for that is said as follows: Once Kottarakkara Thampuran the Raja of Kottarakkara who was attracted by the tone of the Krishnanaattam requested the Samoothirippadu for the loan of a troupe of performers on the eve of some festive occasion.

Due to internal feuds and political rivalry between them, the Samoothirippadu refused to send the performers and insulted with the remarks: “It is useless to depute the troupe, because Kottarakkara Thespian’s court would be neither able to appreciate nor understand anything of the highly artistic Krishnanaattam and the high standard of the performance”.

Here the political rivalry between the two chieftains leads to the art rivalry. So Kottarakkara Thampuran initiated a parallel mode of entertainment, which he called Raamanaattam which was later transformed into Aattakatha, and yet later into Kathakali while Krishnanaattam based on the story of Lord Krishna’s activities, Raamanaattam described the complete story of Lord Raman.

Krishnanaattam was written in Sanskrit, “the language of the Gods”. Raamanaattam was in Malayalam, the language of the people. The use of Malayalam, the local language (albeit as a mix of Sanskrit and Malayalam, called Manipravalam), has also helped the literature of Kathakali sound more transparent for the average audience. By the end of the seventeenth century, the finished product of Raamanaattam was placed before the world under the title Kathakali.
